Secretariat of Permanent Conference of
Organized Crime Prosecutors Goes Online
Sofia, March 16 (BTA) - The website of the Bulgarian chairmanship of the Secretariat of the Permanent Conference of Organized Crime Prosecutors, backed by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), is already operational, the prosecution service said on its official Facebook page.
BulgariaТs Specialized ProsecutorТs Office will host the Secretariat for four years.
It includes as members Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia. The project is supported financially by the US, Italy, Germany and the UK.
The Secretariat aims to enforce efficiently the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, assist prosecutors who handle organized crime case, enhance cooperation in the fight against organized crime and the exchange of experience and data on terrorism and organized crime, in particular weapon smuggling and financial fraud.
