Credo Theatre Back
from Triumphant
Japan Tour
Sofia, November 22 (BTA) - The three actors of Credo Theatre -
Nina Dimitrova, Stelian Radev and Dimitr Nestorov - are back
home from a triumphant tour of Japan for a month in October.
They showed to the Japanese audiences two of their signature
plays: Gogol's Overcoat and Andersen's What the Old Man Does is
Always Right, Nina Dimitrova told BTA.
It was the seventh Japanese tour for Dimitrova - the most for
any Bulgarian actor to this country - and the first for Radev
and Nestorov.
They performed in Tokyo, Saporo, Fukushima and Yakumo. The tour
was appreciated as an exciting cultural event by the theatrical
community in Japan.
The trio spoke Japanese in all performances. "After a month of
hard work with three translators, Dobrinka Dancheva, Fumi Osanai
and Anton Andreev, we were ready to perform in a language none
of us knows," Dimitrova says. Their fine acting and language
skills earned them standing ovation each time they performed.
Back home, Credo has already started the new theatrical season
in Bulgaria with several performances. Dimitrova, who is the
founder and driving force of the small theatrical team, is now
working on several new plays but would not say what they are
before they are ready for the audience. PM/LN/
